The Aether Undercanopy 120W 2-Bar LED Kit brings two sealed 120W LED bars to the lower half of the crop, lighting the leaves and flowering sites that sit in the shade of the canopy above. Each bar delivers 360 µmol/s at 3.0 µmol/J through a wide 120° beam, runs on 0-10V dimming from 40% to 100%, and is IP66 rated for the wet, humid conditions found under a dense canopy. The box holds both fixtures and a UK power cable, so the pair is ready to run straight away.

Why the Lower Canopy Falls Behind
Light from an overhead fixture loses intensity fast as it passes down through the leaves, so the lower third of a plant often receives a fraction of what the top gets. Those shaded leaves and flowering sites develop slowly and lag well behind the top of the plant, and many growers end up pruning them away. Under-canopy bars fix the light penetration problem at source: they shine upwards into the shaded zone, raising photosynthesis in the lower leaves and giving more uniform growth from the top of the plant to the bottom without adding heat to the top of the canopy.
How to Use
- Position: run one bar along each row, just above the rim of the pots or slabs so the light does not hit the growing medium. Aether suggest upturned pots with PVC brackets as a simple support; their own adjustable brackets (8, 10 or 12 in) are sold separately.
- Connect: clip the bars directly together end to end, or bridge two rows with a 3 ft link cable (sold separately), then plug the UK power cable into the first bar. Up to 15 fixtures can share one control line.
- Control: remove the RJ11 placeholder from the port and run an RJ11 lead to a VIVOSUN or TrolMaster controller. With the placeholder left in, the bars run at full output whenever they have power.
- Dimming schedule: Aether recommend starting at 40% on the first day of flowering and ramping to 100% by day 14, then dropping to 60-80% for the final two weeks of flowering to protect the flowers closest to the bars.

Which controllers can dim these bars?
Aether list VIVOSUN and TrolMaster controllers. Each bar has a waterproof female RJ11 port: remove the placeholder plug and connect an RJ11 lead from the controller for 0-10V dimming between 40% and 100%.
How many bars can I run together?
Up to 15 fixtures can be daisy-chained on one control line, either by clipping bars directly end to end or with 3 ft link cables between rows.
How high should the bars sit?
Just above the top of the containers, so the light reaches the lower leaves without shining onto the growing medium. Taller pots need taller supports; stacking upturned pots is a quick way to set the height.
Can I use them above the canopy?
Yes. The bars are rated for mounting above or below the canopy, so they can also light shelving, clones or a small veg area from overhead.
