The pack contains the two filter stages the hood relies on: a Pre-filter G3 that traps larger particles, and a True HEPA H13 filter that delivers the sterile air quality tissue culture work depends on.
It sits firmly in the propagation stage of a grow, specifically for growers running tissue culture or micropropagation setups rather than standard cloning. Filters degrade with use and airflow through them slows and becomes less effective over time — Athena recommends replacing this pack roughly every six months, or sooner if you start seeing unusual contamination in your cultures, since a tired filter is one of the most common causes of losing a batch to mould or bacterial contamination.
