Why Won't Your Plants Take Up Their Feed?

Nine times out of ten the answer is pH, not the nutrient. Drift too far and iron, calcium and magnesium lock out however much you add - you get slow growth, yellowing leaves, poor nutrient uptake and eventually low yields from plants sitting in a full-strength feed. How to Use

• Mix nutrients first: add and stir all feeds and additives before adjusting - they move the reading themselves
• Soil: add a small amount at a time, stir and re-test, aiming for pH 6.2-6.5
• Coco: same method, targeting pH 5.8-6.2
• Hydroponics: aim for pH 5.5-6.2 and re-check daily as plants drink
