Description
Fulvic acid and trace elements to keep plants vital under stress
BioNova The Missing Link (TML) is a 100% organic, vegan stimulator built on high-grade fulvic acid (1.25%) combined with a broad spread of trace elements. BioNova rate it NPK 0-0-0 (it declares just 0.15% nitrogen) and it is highly concentrated at 1:2000, so it sits alongside any base feed rather than replacing one. BioNova formulate it to support the plant's natural defences, lower stress and prevent the hidden deficiencies that intensive indoor and greenhouse growing creates. It works as a root feed and as a foliar spray, in soil, coco and hydro, from the first week of growth to the final week of flowering, and mixes with every BioNova product.
Key Benefits
- High-grade fulvic acid – chelates iron and magnesium and carries them into plant cells, supporting photosynthesis and nutrient uptake
- Trace elements to close the small gaps behind slow growth and pale new leaves
- Certified organic and vegan – suitable for organic growing
- Root feed or foliar spray – one bottle for both methods
- Highly concentrated – just 0.5–1 ml per litre in the feed
- Mothers, cuttings and seedlings – a light foliar spray around taking cuttings and in humid propagation
Hidden Deficiencies and Plant Stress
Plants grown in substrates, under lights and on bottled nutrients often run short of the minor elements a natural soil would supply, and the first signs are vague: slow growth, pale new growth, weaker root development and plants that struggle through heat, high humidity or transplant shock. Fulvic acid is one of the three components of humus and acts as a natural carrier, mobilising minerals in the root zone and moving them into the plant. The Missing Link pairs it with trace elements so the whole feed is used more fully and the plant has what it needs to cope with stress.
How to Use
- Root feed (soil, coco, hydro): 5–10 ml per 10 litres of water (0.5–1 ml per litre) at every feed, from the first week of growth to the final week of flowering
- Foliar spray: 0.25–0.5 ml per litre during growth and the first week of flowering, no more than three applications; a weekly spray through vegetative growth works well
- Mother plants: spray just before and just after taking cuttings
- Cuttings and seedlings: a light spray helps them through high-humidity propagation
- Mixing: add to the tank with your base nutrients and other additives, then set EC and adjust pH last

Frequently Asked Questions
Does The Missing Link replace my base nutrients?
No. BioNova rate it NPK 0-0-0 – it is a stimulator, used alongside your normal base feed at 0.5–1 ml per litre.
Can I use it in a hydroponic system?
Yes. BioNova list it for hydro and aero systems as well as soil and coco, at the same 5–10 ml per 10 litres.
Can I spray it on flowering plants?
Only up to the first week of flowering, and no more than three foliar applications in total. As a root feed it can be used through to the final week of flowering.
