Feed the Plant and the Soil Life in One Go

BioTabs are organic slow-release fertiliser tablets that go into the medium at planting and release nutrition gradually from there. Rather than just supplying minerals, they stimulate microbiological activity while they feed, so the soil food web does part of the work. Each tablet carries an NPK of 15-7-8 from slow-acting organic ingredients – bone meal, blood meal, fish meal, feather meal, humic acids and beneficial bacteria. Suitable for flowers, vegetables, herbs, trees and shrubs, in soil or coco, indoors or outdoors.

Why Does Growth Stall Between Feeds in Fresh Compost?

Fresh compost and coco start out with very little biological life, and a plant fed only on liquid minerals has to take everything up unaided. The result is often weak roots, poor nutrient uptake between feeds and growth that stalls whenever a watering is missed. Slow-release organic tablets sit in the root zone releasing nutrition as microbes break them down, keeping supply matched to demand and giving roots something to colonise.

How to Use

• Placement: push tablets 5-10cm deep into the potting compost or coco around the root ball, then water as normal
• Pots under 5L: 1 tablet
• 10L pots: 2 tablets
• 20L pots: 3 tablets
• 30L and 50L pots: 4 tablets
• 70L pots: 6 tablets
• Timing: place at transplant, and keep the medium evenly moist – the bacteria need moisture to break the tablets down
• pH: water in around pH 6.0-6.5 in soil and let the biology buffer the root zone
