BioTabs Mycotrex is an organic soil improver built around a blend of nine species of endo-mycorrhizal fungi spores, at a concentration BioTabs describes as the most concentrated mycorrhizal product on the market. Mycorrhizal fungi form a genuine symbiotic relationship with plant roots, effectively extending the root system's functional reach and increasing the surface area available for water and nutrient uptake - BioTabs' own figures put the increase in root absorptive capacity at up to 700%.

Alongside the mycorrhizal spores, Mycotrex includes beneficial rhizobacteria, seaweed meal and humic acid, adding a broader biological and organic-matter boost to the root zone rather than relying on the fungi alone. The practical result for the plant is stronger root growth and noticeably improved uptake of water and minerals from the growing medium, which shows up later as better overall growth rate and resilience through the rest of the cycle.

It is applied once, at planting - three level teaspoons mixed directly into the potting compost or coco per cutting or seedling, with a further two teaspoons spread in the planting hole itself, ensuring the spores are in direct contact with the developing root zone from day one.
