Description

Affordable light-tight lining for any grow space

Black/White Sheeting is a reflective polythene liner with a white reflective outer face over a black light-blocking layer, built as a budget alternative to heavier Lightite film for growers who just need a dependable blackout barrier. Gaps around door frames, loft hatches and partition walls are a common cause of light leaks in a flowering room, and this cut-to-fit sheeting lines walls, seals off stray daylight at openings and vents, or splits a shared space into separate light cycles. The white face bounces room light back onto the crop instead of letting bare walls absorb it, while the black underside keeps stray light out during the dark period.

It comes 2 metres wide, in lengths from a short roll for a cupboard, window or tent surround up to a 30m roll that lines a loft room, garage or a whole grow room in one go. The 20m and 30m rolls are 85 micron film, the everyday gauge for wall linings and room dividers, and a longer roll means fewer joins to tape and fewer places for light to creep through.

Key Benefits

  • Black/white construction gives total blackout with a bright reflective white face
  • Cost-effective way to line walls, tents and partitions without a premium spec
  • Easy to cut and fit around doors, vents and awkward wall shapes with scissors or a blade
  • Wipeable surface that resists mould and mildew build-up in humid rooms
  • 2m wide in 5m to 30m lengths – buy close to the area you need and trim the rest to fit

How to Use

  • Cut to size with scissors or a blade, allowing extra at the edges for a secure fix
  • Attach to walls, battens or tent poles with a staple gun or strong tape, white side into the grow space
  • Overlap joins by a few centimetres and tape them down to keep the barrier continuous and light-tight
  • Wipe down between grows to keep the reflective face clean and mould-free

Frequently Asked Questions

Which side faces the plants?

The white side faces into the grow space so light is bounced back onto the canopy; the black side faces outwards to stop light getting in or out.

Is it completely light-proof?

The black layer blocks stray light well for wall linings and partitions. Over a bright window or a sunny doorway, run a double layer or overlap the sheets generously so the dark period stays dark.

How do I join two lengths?

Overlap them by a few centimetres and seal the full length of the seam with metal weave or duct tape. A peel-and-stick zipper gives you a light-tight door through a sheeted wall.
