Bluelab 2.77 EC Conductivity Standard Solution is a laboratory-referenced test liquid made to 2.77 EC (27.7 CF) at 25 °C – 1385 ppm on the 500 scale and 1940 ppm on the 700 scale. Bluelab's conductivity pens and meters are factory calibrated, and this is the solution Bluelab specify to check a meter's accuracy after cleaning the probe. Meters from other makers that calibrate at 2.77 EC can be calibrated with it too.

Is your EC meter telling the truth?
Conductivity probes pick up nutrient residue and drift with age. A meter a few tenths out can have you under- or over-feeding without knowing – slow growth, tip burn and poor nutrient uptake that look like a feeding problem but are really a measuring one. Bluelab recommend cleaning and testing every 30 days.
How to Use
- Clean the probe as your meter's instructions describe, then rinse in fresh water.
- Pour a small sample into a clean container – never put the probe into the original container.
- Immerse the probe, let the reading settle and compare it with 2.77 EC, or run your meter's calibration routine if it has one.
- Discard the sample after use and store the rest sealed, cool and out of direct sunlight.
