The Bluelab Commercial Truncheon Nutrient Meter is the long-format, dip-and-read nutrient meter growers know, built for stronger nutrient solutions. Where the standard Truncheon tops out at 3.6 EC, the Commercial model reads from 0.2 to 6.0 EC (4-60 CF, up to 3000 ppm on the 500 scale or 4200 ppm on the 700 scale). It is factory calibrated, needs no calibration from you, and shows the reading on a column of bright LEDs as soon as the probe touches liquid.

A standard nutrient meter simply maxes out once a solution goes past its scale, which leaves you guessing on strong feeds and concentrated mixes. Guess high and you risk nutrient burn and root stress; guess low and plants run short. The Commercial Truncheon keeps giving a true figure across the top of the range, so you can mix to a target rather than to a hunch.
How to Use
- Mix your nutrients into the reservoir, then dip the probe end fully into the solution.
- Stir with the Truncheon to even out the tank and read the LED scale once it settles.
- Adjust with more nutrient or more water, then re-read before feeding.
- Rinse the probe after use; clean it with a Bluelab conductivity care kit if readings become sluggish.
- Replace the 3x AA batteries when the LEDs dim.
