The Bluelab Pro Controller Conductivity Probe is Bluelab's genuine replacement EC probe for the Bluelab Pro Controller and Pro Controller Wi-Fi (models CONTPRO and BCTPRC02). It measures the conductivity of the nutrient solution the controller reads to decide when to dose, so an accurate probe is what keeps an automated reservoir at the strength you set. The probe is fully submersible, low-maintenance and easy to clean, and comes on a 2 m cable that plugs straight into the controller. It is not compatible with the Bluelab Guardian Monitor or Combo Meter.

When EC Readings Start to Drift
A conductivity probe that lives in nutrient solution slowly picks up a film of salts and organic matter, and a fouled or damaged probe reads the reservoir wrongly. The controller then doses to a false number – adding nutrient to a tank that is already strong enough, or holding back on one that is running weak – and plants show it as tip burn, deficiencies and poor nutrient uptake. Cleaning the probe regularly keeps it honest; a probe that still reads out after cleaning, or has a damaged cable, is due to be replaced.
How to Use
- Connect the probe to the conductivity socket on the Pro Controller
- Submerge the probe tip fully in the reservoir where the solution mixes well
- Check readings against Bluelab 2.77 EC standard solution
- Clean the probe regularly with a Bluelab conductivity probe care kit and rinse it in fresh water
