The BOYU LK High Flow Air Pump is a heavy-duty mains air pump built for jobs that a small aquarium-style pump cannot keep up with: large deep water culture and RDWC systems and nutrient reservoirs. Three models share one compact 288 x 196 x 193mm body and move 60, 80 or 100 litres per minute (3,600 to 6,000 L/h) through a single 19mm outlet. The motor sits inside an aluminium casing that sheds heat and protects it, and an outlet buffer chamber keeps running noise down.

Low Dissolved Oxygen in Big Systems

Roots sitting in solution need oxygen as much as they need feed. As a reservoir grows, or as solution temperature climbs through summer, a small pump stops keeping dissolved oxygen up: roots turn brown and slimy, nutrient uptake falls away and growth stalls. One high-flow pump running several air stones keeps the whole system oxygenated and the solution moving.

How to Use

• Size the model to the total air your stones need, plus some headroom.
• Stand the pump on a dry, level surface above the water line, or fit a non-return valve in the line, so water cannot siphon back into it.
• Run 19mm hose from the outlet to an air manifold, then airline to each stone.
• Run it continuously and keep the pump somewhere clean and ventilated so it stays cool.
