Stop Pests Getting In Through the Air Intake
The RAM Bug Barrier is a circular fine mesh shield that fits over the end of your intake ducting or straight onto a fan, blocking the route most pests actually use to reach a sealed room. A fine mesh stops the vast majority of flying and crawling insects while leaving air-flow quality unaffected, so your extraction balance stays where you set it. Fitting is done with peel-and-stick Velcro fasteners, each supplied as a separate piece, and it comes in six sizes.

Pests Riding In Through the Intake
An open intake is an invitation. Thrips, fungus gnats and spider mites are drawn to warm, humid air and walk straight down the duct into the room, and by the time damage shows on the leaves the population is already established. Screening the inlet is the simplest control there is, and because airflow is not restricted you avoid the temperature and humidity creep that comes with choking an intake.
How to Use
- Choose the size that matches your ducting or fan diameter, from 100mm to 315mm
- Remove the Velcro pieces and peel off the backing covers
- Stick them around the edge of the intake ducting end or fan housing
- Fit the barrier over the inlet, pressing the mesh onto the Velcro so it seats evenly all the way round
- Check monthly and brush or rinse the mesh clear of dust so airflow stays free
