The Can-Filters 38-Special is a heavy-duty activated carbon filter built on the same packed-bed design as the original Can-Filter, using CKG 48 activated carbon selected for its fine micro-meso pore structure. It pulls extracted air through a dense carbon bed before it leaves the room, stripping out the compounds that cause grow room and drying room smells before they reach open air.

Stopping Grow Room Smells at the Source
An extraction fan alone just moves smelly air outside. Pairing it with a properly sized carbon filter strips the odour out before the air leaves, which matters as much for a shared house or a business unit as it does for a standalone shed. Undersizing the filter for the fan is the most common mistake - running this 1400m³/hr filter behind a fan pulling more than that overworks the carbon bed and lets odour through untreated.
How to Use
- Match the filter to a fan rated at or below its 1400m³/hr airflow
- Mount with the carbon bed vertical where possible, fan pulling air through the filter
- Fit ducting to the 250mm flange and secure with a clamp or duct tape
- Replace the carbon once odour starts coming through, typically every 12-18 months of continuous use
