The Can-Fan EC Fan Controller gives full temperature and speed control over Q-Max EC and Max-Fan Pro Series EC extractor fans from a single wall-mounted unit. Three dials set the room's target temperature, plus a minimum and maximum fan speed, so the fan only works as hard as conditions demand instead of running flat out around the clock.

Fan Running Full Speed When the Room Doesn't Need It?

A fan wired straight to the mains only has one speed — full — which wastes electricity, dries the room out faster than it needs to and adds unnecessary noise. Wiring the extractor through the EC Fan Controller instead lets it idle at your chosen minimum speed and step up only when the probe reads above your target temperature, holding a steadier climate for less running cost.

How to Use

• Connect the controller to a compatible Q-Max EC or Max-Fan Pro Series EC fan using the supplied 3.5mm jack cable
• Position the temperature probe at canopy height, away from direct airflow and light fittings
• Set the Temperature dial to your target room temperature (20-30°C)
• Set the Minimum Speed dial to the lowest speed you want the fan idling at, and the Maximum Speed dial to cap it under load
• To run a one-speed AC fan instead of an EC model, connect a Can-Fan Satellite 4A between the controller and the fan
