The Can In-Line Carbon Filter is built from Can-Filters' lightweight-grade activated carbon, packed in the same proven bed design as the rest of the Can range but designed to sit mid-run in your ducting rather than mounted directly at the fan. Many growers fit it as a secondary "belt and braces" filter behind a primary unit, though matched correctly to your fan and airflow it works perfectly well as a standalone primary filter too.

An extraction fan on its own moves air but does nothing for smell — odour molecules pass straight through unless they meet activated carbon. Running a Can In-Line filter behind your primary filter, or as the only filter on a correctly-sized fan, keeps a grow room's odour signature under control without a drop in airflow.

How to Use

Match the filter's rated m³/h to your fan's airflow — undersizing the filter chokes the fan, oversizing wastes carbon life. Mount it anywhere in the ducting with the airflow direction arrow pointing towards the fan, and support the weight of the filter so it isn't hanging on the ducting joints alone. Replace the carbon when odour starts breaking through, typically around 18 months.
