Description

Two-part nutrition purpose-built for coco coir

Canna Coco A&B is a two-part nutrient formulated specifically for coco substrates, whether you run a run-to-waste system or hand water. It supplies all the basic macro and micronutrients a plant needs for strong, healthy growth from the vegetative cycle through flowering, in a form matched to how coco behaves as a growing medium. Used in equal amounts of A and B, it is simple to mix and reliable across the whole grow.

Key Benefits

  • Formulated for coco - balanced for coco's cation-exchange behaviour, not a generic mix.
  • Full macro and micronutrient profile - everything needed for healthy, vigorous growth.
  • Covers the full cycle - vegetative growth through flowering.
  • Equal-parts A and B - straightforward, consistent mixing.
  • Suits run-to-waste and hand watering - flexible across coco setups.

Fixing nutrient lockout and poor uptake in coco

Coco holds onto calcium and magnesium differently to soil or rockwool, and the wrong feed here often shows up as nutrient lockout, poor uptake or slow growth. Canna Coco A&B is balanced for coco specifically, and running 10-20% run-off per feed helps flush any salt build-up before it becomes a problem.

How to Use

  • Coco (veg and flower): 1.5-3.5ml per litre of both A and B through veg, rising to 3-4ml per litre in early and mid flower and easing to 2-3ml in late flower. Never go above 4ml per litre of each part (40ml per 10 litres).
  • Mixing: add part A to the reservoir first and mix well, then add an equal amount of part B.
  • pH: check and adjust to 5.5-6.2 after all nutrients and boosters are added.
  • Run-off: aim for 10-20% run-off per plant at each feed.

Feed Chart
CANNA Coco A&B · coco coir, run-to-waste or hand watered · rate is for EACH part
Stage Per 1 L Per 10 L
Start, first week 1.5–2.5 ml 15–25 ml
Vegetative growth 2–3.5 ml 20–35 ml
Early and mid flowering 3–4 ml 30–40 ml
Late flowering 2–3 ml 20–30 ml
Note — The rate applies to Part A and to Part B in equal amounts. Never mix the concentrated A and B together — add A to the water and stir, then add B and stir. Aim for 10–20% run-off per plant at each feed and correct pH to 5.5–6.2 once everything is in. Keep the solution out of UV light, which breaks down the iron chelates. Check pH and EC after mixing.

Questions & answers

How much Coco A&B do I use per litre?

Up to 4ml of Part A and 4ml of Part B per litre (40ml of each per 10 litres) at full strength. Start lower, around 1.5–2.5ml of each per litre, and build up through veg.

How do I mix A and B?

Add Part A to the water and stir, then add the same amount of Part B and stir again. Never mix the concentrated A and B together.

What pH should I aim for?

Canna recommend pH 5.5–6.2. Adjust once all nutrients and boosters are in, then check EC.

Can I use it in soil?

It's formulated for coco, whether run-to-waste or hand-watered. For potting mix, Canna Terra Vega and Terra Flores are the match.

How much run-off should I aim for?

10–20% run-off per plant at each feed, which helps stop salts building up in the coco.
