Description

Calcium and magnesium that keeps nutrient uptake moving

SHOGUN CalMag is a highly refined, plant-available calcium and magnesium supplement that improves nutrient uptake and translocation around the plant. Often overlooked until deficiencies show, it also supplies chelated iron and underpins key functions including chlorophyll production, making it an easy win for any feeding regime.

Key Benefits

  • Refined, plant-available calcium and magnesium source
  • Chelated iron to correct a micronutrient prone to deficiency
  • Beneficial for coir growers during the vegetative period
  • Effective as a foliar spray to treat preventable deficiencies
  • Supports chlorophyll production and other essential plant functions

Yellowing leaves and poor nutrient movement?

Calcium and magnesium deficiencies show as interveinal yellowing and sluggish nutrient movement, especially common in coco coir. CalMag keeps calcium, magnesium and iron chelated and plant-available, correcting deficiencies and supporting the processes that depend on them.

How to Use

  • Root feed: 0-1ml per litre in your reservoir or watering can, throughout vegetative and flowering growth - Shogun start the rate at zero, so on hard water you may need none at all. Stop two weeks before harvest.
  • Foliar application: to correct existing deficiencies, use 15ml per litre and spray the leaves once per week until resolved. Keep the foliar solution at pH 5-7.
Feed Chart
Shogun CalMag · all media, especially coir in veg · also usable as a foliar
Application Per 1 L Per 10 L
Root feed — full growth cycle, stopping two weeks before harvest 0–1 ml 0–10 ml
Foliar spray — to correct a confirmed deficiency, once a week 15 ml 150 ml
NoteRead the row you need — the foliar rate is fifteen times the root rate. The root rate starts at zero: on hard water you may need none at all. Keep the foliar solution at pH 5–7. Do not premix concentrated Shogun products — always add them to water, one at a time. Recommended pH 5.5–6.5. During veg and the first four weeks of flower the pH will rise as the plants feed; in the second half of flower it may fall. Check pH and EC after mixing.
