This is a big, heavy filter and it is meant to be. The CarboAir 100 carries a 100mm bed of virgin activated granular carbon with a custom-built steel mesh that still allows excellent airflow, and it was developed to strip the highest concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) out of large grow room environments. The longer and fatter the filter, the more charcoal it holds, which is how it keeps up with high-powered fans. Handmade in Europe, it comes with a machine-washable pre-filter and works as a scrubber or to triple filter air.

Odour Breakthrough in High-VOC Rooms

Undersized filters are the usual culprit when a room starts to smell. A thin carbon bed saturates quickly, contact time drops and odour passes straight through even though the fan is still pulling properly. Larger rooms also need real airflow to hold humidity and temperature down, and a restrictive filter throttles that too. The CarboAir 100 answers both: a deep bed for genuine contact time, and mesh open enough that extraction still shifts its rated m3/h.

How to Use

• Match the filter to your fan: the filter's m3/h rating should meet or exceed your extractor's rated airflow.
• Fit the pre-filter before use and machine wash it when it greys over.
• Hang or mount securely, allowing for the unit's weight of 28.35kg to 50kg depending on size.
• Do not use on box fans, which cannot generate the static pressure a filter this deep requires.
• Scrubber use: run with a fan inside the room to recirculate and clean air.
