Description

Serious Oxygen for the Reservoir, Without the Racket

The Charles Austen ET120 sits at the top of the ET range, delivering 120 litres per minute into your nutrient tank. These pumps are renowned for being exceptionally quiet despite how much air they shift, which matters when the pump runs around the clock. It is precision-engineered for oxygenating nutrient reservoirs and suits deep water culture systems, WaterFarms and AquaFarms. Air is delivered through an airline into submerged air stones, and the output can be split across multiple air stones via a manifold. The wider ET range runs from 30 to 120 litres per minute, making the ET120 the one for larger tanks and multi-pot setups.

Key Benefits

  • 120 litres per minute - enough air for a large reservoir or a bank of DWC pots.
  • Genuinely quiet running - high output without the buzz of cheaper pumps.
  • Runs multiple air stones - split through a manifold across the whole tank.
  • Built for hydro - designed around DWC, WaterFarm and AquaFarm systems.
  • Precision engineered - built for continuous 24/7 operation.
  • Full range available - 30 to 120 litres per minute to match tank size.

Stagnant Solution and Roots That Never Take Off

An under-aerated reservoir is one of the quietest killers in hydroponics. Dissolved oxygen drops, roots go brown and slimy, poor nutrient uptake follows, and you end up blaming the feed chart for slow growth and low yields that are really an air problem. Pushing 120 litres per minute through air stones keeps solution moving and oxygen-rich, so white root mass develops fast.

How to Use

  • Siting: mount above the water line so solution cannot siphon back into the pump.
  • Connection: run airline to a manifold, then split to your submerged air stones.
  • Distribution: spread stones evenly, or one per DWC pot, for consistent oxygenation.
  • Running time: leave it running 24 hours a day - aeration should never be timed.
  • Maintenance: check stones for clogging and keep the intake clear of dust.
