Description

Switch a room full of lights safely from one board

An MDF Contactor Board gives you one wall-mounted unit that runs every light and fan in the room. A 24hr Grasslin professional timer sets the photoperiod, and an integrated contactor does the actual switching, so the full lighting load never passes through the timer contacts. Alongside the timed sockets sit auxiliary sockets that stay live around the clock, so extraction and circulation keep running through lights-off. Six board sizes cover everything from a single tent to a room of twenty-four lights, and the largest boards add a dedicated heater output.

Key Benefits

  • The contactor takes the load, not the timer — the single most common cause of timer failure is removed
  • Genuine 24hr Grasslin timer for a repeatable, reliable light cycle
  • Always-on auxiliary sockets so fans, controllers and pumps never stop when the lights do
  • Six sizes, 6 way to 24 way — match the board to the number of lights you actually run
  • Heater output on the 20 way board for rooms that need night-time heat
  • 120A-rated connector block on the larger boards, comfortably overrated for the job
  • Works with HID, CMH and LED — anything with a plug and a schedule

Blown Timers, Welded Contacts And A Room In Darkness

Running several ballasts through a plug-in timer pushes far more current through its contacts than they were built for. They weld, the timer fails mid-cycle, and a room can sit in darkness for a day before anyone notices — which throws the photoperiod out and costs you real yield. It is also a genuine fire risk. A contactor board moves the switching current away from the timer entirely and passes it through properly rated gear, and because the fans sit on a permanent supply, temperature and humidity stay stable through lights-off.

How to Use

  • Pick the board by socket count — count your lights for the timed sockets and your fans and controllers for the auxiliary ones
  • Mount it to a solid wall in a dry, well-ventilated spot, clear of spray and away from the floor
  • Lights into the timed sockets, fans into the auxiliary sockets — the auxiliary outlets are never switched
  • Set the schedule on the Grasslin timer and let the contactor do the work
  • Route and clip your cables so a loose connection or a failing component is easy to spot later
  • All contactor boards must be installed by a qualified electrician. Have the wiring carried out to current regulations
