Put the Light Back on Your Canopy

A genuine replacement reflector liner for the Dimlux Expert series, fitting the Expert 1000W HPS full fixture. It uses Alpha Optics 98 Miro silver, an aluminium reflector material rated at 98% reflectivity, which is what gives the Expert fixtures their even spread and low light loss. Reflector surfaces dull with heat, dust and time, and Dimlux recommend swapping the liner roughly every 12 months to hold that performance. Fitting the new liner is a workshop job of a few minutes with the lamp cold.

How a Tired Reflector Quietly Costs You Light

Reflector decay is invisible because it happens slowly. The lamp looks the same, the meter on the wall reads the same, and yet less light is landing on the canopy every month as the surface hazes and oxidises. Nobody notices a few percent, but over a year it adds up to a real loss you are still paying full electricity for. Swapping the liner resets it.

How to Use

• Switch the fixture off and let the lamp cool completely before touching anything.
• Remove the lamp and set it somewhere safe and clean.
• Release the old reflector liner and lift it out of the housing.
• Fit the new liner without touching the reflective face, handling it by the edges.
• Refit the lamp, check the seating and diarise the next change for 12 months on.
