A 1000W Double-Ended HPS Lamp Made for Boosting
The Dimlux Xtreme HPS 400V 1000W/1250W DE Bulb – the DXO (Dimlux Xtreme Output) lamp – is a double-ended 400V EL high pressure sodium lamp for 1000W DE electronic fixtures. It is designed for both dimming and boosting, so in a fixture that runs to 1250W it keeps its PAR output at boost instead of fading the way standard 1000W lamps do, and it holds 95% PAR maintenance after 10,000 hours.

Why Lamps Lose Output
Every HPS lamp slowly loses light, and running a standard lamp above its rating speeds that up, leaving weaker light and slower growth long before the lamp actually fails. Replacing tired DE lamps with one built to stay above 95% for 10,000 hours keeps output steady from one crop to the next.
How to Use
- Fit only in a 1000W 400V double-ended EL fixture or ballast; boost to 1250W only where the fixture supports it
- Switch off and let the fixture cool before changing lamps
- Handle the glass with clean cotton gloves or a cloth – skin oils on the envelope shorten lamp life
- Seat both ends fully in the lamp holders before powering up
