Description
Steady, organic nitrogen for vigorous vegetative growth
Ecothrive Soil Food Grow is an organic top-dress amendment built around soy amino hydrolysate, a fast-acting amine nitrogen source that plants take up readily. It's designed to sit on top of Ecothrive Living Soil, or any living soil mix, and feed a steady, balanced nitrogen supply through the vegetative phase, supporting strong root, stem and leaf development.
Key Benefits
- Amine nitrogen source — soy amino hydrolysate plants absorb readily, speeding early growth.
- Stimulates soil biology, encouraging mineralisation and a more diverse microbial population.
- Balanced nitrogen release — reduces the risk of overloading living soil with residual nutrient.
- Mealworm frass (Ecothrive Charge) drives microbial activity and nutrient cycling.
- Micronised rock phosphate, potassium sulphate and gypsum build strong roots and resilient plants.
Living soil only performs as well as what you feed the biology, not just the plant — a soil running low on accessible nitrogen mid-cycle shows it as pale lower leaves and stalled stem growth before anything looks seriously wrong. Topping up with an organic, biology-friendly source keeps growth even without the spikes and troughs a fast synthetic feed can cause.
How to Use
- Potted plants: use 1–2g per litre of soil, calculated on the top 15cm of the pot.
- Beds or larger containers: top-dress 100–200g per m², scratched into the top 2–4cm of soil.
- After application: water thoroughly so the amendment reaches the root zone.
- Repeat every 4–6 weeks through the vegetative phase, then switch to Soil Food Bloom once flowering begins.
