HPS lamps fade gradually rather than failing outright, so the drop is easy to miss. How to Use

• Ballast: run it only on a 1000W 400V double-ended ballast or fixture - the wrong ballast will overdrive and damage the lamp
• Fitting: fit the end with the small square nearest the ballast, then seat the other end on the outer edge of the reflector
• Handling: hold it by the ends and keep fingers off the glass; wipe with a clean dry cloth if touched
• Safety: HID lamps run extremely hot - let it cool fully before touching, and keep sprays, water and leaves away from it
