Description
One 1000W Lamp From Vegetative Growth to Flowering
The Elite 1000W HPS Dual Spectrum Bulb is a single-ended high pressure sodium grow lamp with a standard E40 screw cap, so it fits most 1000W reflectors and lamp holders. Its dual spectrum raises the red and blue output either side of the sodium peak, which means you can run the same lamp from vegetative growth right through flowering instead of swapping to a metal halide for veg.
Key Benefits
- Dual spectrum - extra red and blue for use through the whole grow
- E40 fitting - compatible with most 1000W reflectors and fixtures
- 2000K colour temperature with high PAR output for strong flowering
- 32,000+ hours rated lamp life (manufacturer figure)
- No mid-grow lamp change - one lamp does the job of an MH and an HPS
Why Lamp Output Matters
Too little light at the canopy is one of the most common causes of excessive stretch, thin stems and disappointing yield per watt. An HPS lamp dims slowly with age, so a fresh dual spectrum lamp is a cheap way to put intensity back into a 1000W setup and keep plants compact and productive.
How to Use
- Ballast: run it on a 1000W ballast rated for HPS lamps - never on a lower-wattage ballast
- Fitting: screw it firmly into the E40 holder with the power off and the fixture cool
- Handling: keep fingers off the glass; wipe with a clean dry cloth if touched
- Safety: HID lamps run extremely hot - keep leaves, sprays and water away and let it cool before removing
