Description

Stop bio-film narrowing your drippers and skewing the feed

Hydra Clear is a multi-enzyme line cleaner that digests the bio-film, bacteria and fungal residue that builds up inside feed lines, emitters and reservoirs. It is an all-natural enzymatic blend rather than a bleach or an acid, so it can be run through a system regularly without attacking pumps, valves and seals or leaving a residue that has to be flushed out afterwards. It works at a commercial 100:1 dilution, so a small measure makes up a large volume of cleaning solution, and the concentrate holds a shelf life of over two years.

Key Benefits

  • Digests bio-film at the source - the enzymes break down the organic film that blockages actually form on, rather than rinsing past it
  • 100:1 dilution - commercial-grade concentration, so one measure covers several cleaning cycles
  • All-natural enzyme blend - no harsh chemicals, safe around plants and safe on pumps, valves and seals
  • Keeps emitters and drippers open - the parts that block first and are the hardest to spot
  • Usable mid-grow - gentle enough to run with plants in place, so a system does not have to be stripped down to be cleaned
  • Over two years shelf life - it keeps between uses instead of going off in the cupboard

A Blocked Emitter Feeds One Plant and Starves the Next

Bio-film does not announce itself. It forms as a thin organic layer inside pipework and reservoirs, then narrows emitters until some plants take the full feed and others get a trickle. The symptoms look like a nutrient fault — slow growth in patches, weak roots on whatever sits at the end of a run, and poor nutrient uptake that no adjustment to the mix seems to fix — when the real problem is the delivery rather than the recipe. Enzymes clear the film itself, which is why an enzymatic cleaner keeps a system consistent in a way that flushing with plain water does not.

How to Use

  • Routine maintenance: dilute at 100:1, which is about 10ml per litre of water, and circulate through the system
  • Between cycles: run the diluted solution through every line and emitter, then flush with clean water before the next feed goes in
  • Mid-grow: safe to circulate with plants in place, so the system does not have to come down to be cleaned
  • Reservoirs and tanks: circulate rather than leaving it standing, so the solution reaches the whole wetted surface
  • Afterwards: re-check pH and EC on the next made-up feed rather than assuming the cleaning run left them untouched
  • Storage: keep the concentrate cool and out of direct light
