The Essentials CO2 Monitor tracks carbon dioxide in a grow tent or grow room using a Non-Dispersive Infrared (NDIR) sensor, the same sensing method used in professional CO2 controllers. Its large display shows live CO2 in ppm, temperature and relative humidity, plus a clock and a 24-hour trend bar chart, so you can see how CO2 rises and falls across the light and dark periods.

Is Your Grow Room Short of CO2?

Plants in a sealed or poorly ventilated tent can use up the CO2 in the air faster than it is replaced, and photosynthesis slows with it – growth stalls even when light, feed and airflow look right. If you enrich with CO2, the opposite risk applies: levels can climb too high for people working in the room. A monitor with an alarm shows you which side of the line you are on, and whether your extraction or CO2 supply needs adjusting.

How to Use

• Place the monitor at canopy height, away from direct airflow from fans or CO2 outlets.
• Power it by USB from the supplied mains adaptor, a PC or a USB power bank.
• Set the alarm threshold and backlight colours following the supplied instructions.
• Check the 24-hour chart to see how CO2 changes between lights-on and lights-off.
