Description

A silica additive with a shelf life measured in years, not months

SilikaMajic is Flairform's potassium silicate additive, formulated to stay stable for over 10 years — a genuine point of difference, since many silica products lose potency within six to twelve months of manufacture. It is used through both the vegetative and flowering stages to build silica into the plant's structure from the ground up.

Silica taken up by the roots is deposited as a rigid, quartz-like matrix in the plant's cell walls, which is why it must be present continuously rather than applied only once — existing silica in plant tissue isn't mobile and can't benefit new growth once it's locked into older cells. That structural reinforcement produces several measurable side effects: heavier, longer-lasting fruit, better leaf orientation and photosynthesis, greater resistance to heat stress and wilting, stronger resistance to fungal diseases like mildew and botrytis, and faster, neater healing after pruning.

  • 15% potassium silicate (NPK 0-0-10) for structural cell wall reinforcement
  • Increases fruit weight and shelf-life
  • Improves heat and wilt tolerance
  • Strengthens resistance to mildew and botrytis
  • Speeds healing after pruning, useful on regularly-trimmed crops
  • Fully soluble with an indefinite shelf-life

Feed Chart
Flairform SilikaMajic · hydroponics, coco and soil · the rate depends on water hardness
Chart and use Per 1 L Per 10 L
Soft water chart, across the cycle 3–5 ml 30–50 ml
Hard water / DWC chart, across the cycle 2–4 ml 20–40 ml
pH correction only, if pH is too low 0.1–0.25 ml 1–2.5 ml
NoteRead the right row. Flairform print rates of 3, 4 and 5 ml/L across the soft-water cycle and 2, 3 and 4 ml/L on the hard-water chart; the week each figure falls in could not be resolved, so the printed range is shown. The 0.10–0.25 ml/L figure is a pH-correction rate, not a feed rate — do not use it as the growing dose. Flairform's hard-water chart generally applies if your water's EC is 0.5–1.0 mS. Fill the reservoir with water then add each product, stirring thoroughly after each addition. Never add chlorine, peroxide or pre-mix products in concentrated form. Flairform: “This dose chart serves as a guide only.” Check pH and EC after mixing.
