Description
Four Sections, One Thermostatically Controlled Base
The Garland 4 Top sits between the compact Fab 4 and the larger Big 3, giving four independent vented propagators, each 23cm long by 17cm wide, on a heated base with its own fixed-temperature thermostat. It's sized for a greenhouse bench or spare-room table where several separate sowings need to run at once.
Key Benefits
- 40W carbon fibre heating element for even heat distribution across all four sections
- Fixed thermostat maintains the compost at around 19°C automatically
- Four independent vented sections, 23cm x 17cm each, keep different sowings separate
- 'Heat On' and 'Power On' neon indicators confirm the base is running correctly
- 59.5cm x 41cm footprint suits a greenhouse bench or table without needing a full room
Steady Warmth Across Several Sowings at Once
Running several batches of seed or cuttings at the same time usually means either one shared dome, where humidity from one section affects another, or several separate unheated trays that lose warmth overnight. The 4 Top's four independent sections each keep their own environment while the thermostatic base holds compost around 19°C throughout, without needing to check or adjust it.
How to Use
- Fill each of the four trays with moist compost or rooting medium and sow seed or insert cuttings
- Fit the vented lids and set the unit on a level, stable surface away from draughts
- Plug in — the base thermostat automatically maintains the compost at around 19°C, with 'Power On' and 'Heat On' neons confirming it's running
- Vent each lid as seedlings develop to manage humidity and reduce the risk of damping off
