Description

Feed little and often, timed to the second

The G.A.S Minute-Second Timer sets exactly how long a pump runs each time it is switched on, from 5 seconds up to 10 minutes. It plugs into a standard segmental timer: the segmental timer decides how often each feed starts, and the Minute-Second Timer decides how long it lasts. That makes short, frequent irrigation cycles easy – the little-and-often feeding that keeps the root zone evenly moist, improves nutrient uptake and lets plenty of oxygen back in between feeds.

Key Benefits

  • 5 s to 10 min run times, switchable between seconds and minutes.
  • Works with any segmental timer – one segment on per feed.
  • For pumps and devices up to 500 W.
  • Cancel a cycle instantly by turning the mode dial to OFF.
  • Made in the UK by G.A.S, with a 2-year warranty.

Why short feeds matter

A segmental timer on its own switches a pump in whole segments, usually 15 minutes at a time, which floods drip and coco systems and leaves roots waterlogged and short of air. Cutting each feed to seconds or a few minutes delivers just enough solution to wet the media, so roots stay in the moist, well-aerated zone that drives strong root development.

How to Use

  • Set it before plugging in: turn the top dial to SECS or MINS and the bottom dial to the run time you want.
  • Plug your pump into the socket on the front.
  • Set your segmental timer with one segment on for each feed you want in the day.
  • Plug the Minute-Second Timer into the segmental timer, then the segmental timer into the mains.
  • To stop, turn the top dial to OFF; turn it back to SECS or MINS to resume at the next cycle.
  • Adjust the bottom dial any time; change the top dial between cycles so you don't cancel one by accident.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need another timer?

Yes. The Minute-Second Timer only sets the length of each run; a segmental timer upstream sets how often runs start, with one segment switched on per feed.

How is it different from the G.A.S Minute Timer?

The Minute Timer runs from 1 to 10 minutes. The Minute-Second Timer adds a seconds range, so feeds can be as short as 5 seconds – useful for drippers and small pots.

What size pump can I run?

Any device or combination of devices up to 500 W in total.
