Description
Genuine GE Lucalox Output for Serious Flowering Rooms
The GE Lucalox 600W HPS Bulb is General Electric's high pressure sodium lamp, built for growers who want a proven, high-lumen bulb behind their reflector rather than an unbranded alternative. It runs on a standard E40 (mogul) base in any 600W HPS ballast and reflector, giving an efficient orange-red spectrum that pushes hard into flowering.
Key Benefits
- 88,000 lumens — strong output for a 600W HPS bulb
- 146 lm/W efficacy — more usable light per watt of electricity
- 1020 µmol/s PPF — measured photosynthetic light output, not just a lumens claim
- 2100K colour temperature — the deep orange-red spectrum flowering plants respond to
- 18,000-hour rated life — a long service life before output drops off
A tired or unbranded HPS bulb loses output gradually, so a flowering room can end up running under noticeably less light than the grower thinks, with no visible sign until yields fall. Fitting a bulb with a published lumen, efficacy and PPF rating — and replacing it within its rated life — keeps light levels consistent through the whole flowering cycle instead of tailing off in the final weeks.
How to Use
Fit into any 600W HPS ballast and reflector rated for an E40 base. Allow the bulb to warm up fully before adjusting a dimmable ballast, and avoid touching the glass with bare hands — an oily fingerprint can create a hot spot and shorten bulb life. Replace at or before the 18,000-hour rated life, or sooner if light output visibly drops, to keep flowering performance consistent.
