The PLANT!T GoGro Essential 4 Plant 15L kit is a complete gravity-fed self-watering system for four plants in 15 litre pots, fed from one 45L round reservoir. Each pot sits in a GoGro tray fitted with the patented GoGro valve, which lets water into the tray, stops at about 3cm, and only opens again once the plant has drawn it down to around 1cm. Capillary action does the rest, so the medium stays evenly moist without the swing between soaked and bone dry that comes with hand watering. It suits greenhouses, patios and, with suitable lighting and ventilation, indoor growing, in soil, coco or clay pebbles.

Why Plants Suffer with Hand Watering

Uneven watering is behind a lot of slow growth and poor nutrient uptake: pots dry out between visits, then get flooded, and roots spend half their time short of water or short of air. A valve-controlled tray keeps the root zone at a steady moisture level every day, including the days you are away.

How to Use

• Stand the reservoir so its base is above the level of the trays - gravity does the feeding.
• Lay a root control disc in each tray under 1-1.5L of clay pebbles, then set the pot on top.
• Run the 4mm tube from the reservoir filter to each valve inlet using the barbed tees, with an inline tap to isolate a line.
• Transplant established plants rather than seeds, once they are drinking steadily; allow 1.5-2L per plant per day when sizing top-ups.
• Give each pot a quarter turn every fortnight to stop roots growing into the tray.
