Pro-Silicate supplies plants with a concentrated, soluble source of silica alongside two forms of potassium: potassium silicate and potassium chloride. Silica isn't classed as an essential nutrient, but plants accumulate it in macro quantities for good reason - most base nutrient formulations leave it out entirely because it reacts poorly with other minerals in a concentrated blend, so a standalone silica source fills a genuine gap in most feeding programmes.
Once taken up, silica reinforces cell walls throughout the plant, giving stems and branches the rigidity needed to carry heavier flower and fruit loads without bending or snapping. That same structural strength translates into better resistance to heat stress, drought and the kind of physical damage that opens the door to pests and pathogens.
Pro-Silicate is alkaline, so it's added to the reservoir or final nutrient solution first, before other nutrients go in, to avoid unwanted reactions - never straight into a concentrated nutrient stock. It works across both the vegetative and reproductive stages of growth in hydroponic and soilless media alike.
