Nutrient Burn at One End, Starved Plants at the Other

Nutrient strength is one of the most important parts of growing indoors and the easiest thing to get wrong by eye. Too strong and you get nutrient burn and a stalled root zone; too weak and plants show slow growth, poor nutrient uptake, airy buds and low yields.

How to Use

• Mix first: add all nutrients and additives and stir thoroughly before reading
• Measure: dip the probe into the solution and wait for the reading to stabilise
• Adjust: add nutrient to raise it or plain water to dilute, re-testing until you hit your target EC
• Then set pH: correct pH after EC, since nutrient additions move both
• Calibrate: use the supplied screwdriver against a known calibration solution when readings drift
• Aftercare: rinse the probe with clean water after testing and store it in the carry case
