Guard'n'Aid Healthy Root is a concentrated preparation of naturally occurring beneficial bacteria from HydroGarden's Guard'n'Aid plant health range. Added to the root zone, it restores the microbial balance around the roots, improves nutrient availability and uptake, and keeps roots white and vigorous in hydroponics, coco and soil alike. Use it alongside your normal feed programme, from rooting cuttings right through flowering, or as a boost when roots are under stress.

Why Roots Turn Brown and Slimy

A root zone left sterile or warm is an open door to root rot. Once harmful organisms take hold, roots brown off, uptake falls and plants show it as slow growth, pale leaves and wilting even when the feed is right. Keeping the root zone populated with beneficial bacteria leaves less room for the problem organisms and keeps the roots doing their job: taking up water and nutrients.

How to Use

• Cuttings: 3ml per litre of water to soak propagation cubes
• Soil and soilless mixes: 3ml per litre of water applied to the rooting media
• Hydroponic systems: add at every nutrient change, at the system rate printed on the label
• Timing: use throughout vegetative growth and flowering as part of the regular feed
• Compatibility: do not use at the same time as hydrogen peroxide or chlorine-based sterilisers, which kill beneficial bacteria. Shake well before use
