Guard'n'Aid OxyPlus is a 12% hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) solution for hydroponic growers. At a low feed rate it raises the oxygen content of the nutrient solution; at a higher rate it becomes a system cleaner that breaks down organic build-up in tanks, pipes and drippers. It can also be used for seed germination and as a preventative against pythium, and it breaks down to water and oxygen, leaving nothing behind in the reservoir.

Why Does a Warm Reservoir Cause Root Problems?

Warm water holds less oxygen, and roots sitting in oxygen-poor solution slow down: nutrient uptake drops, roots turn brown and pythium finds an easy target. Dosing hydrogen peroxide releases oxygen into the solution and knocks back the organic sludge that pathogens live on, giving the roots a cleaner, better-aerated place to work, especially through the warmer months.

How to Use

• Oxygen feed: 7.5ml per 10 litres of nutrient solution, repeated 2-3 times a week as needed
• System clean: 75ml per 10 litres of water; circulate through the system or growing medium, then rinse the system through with clean fresh water before use
• Nutrients: for mineral (non-organic) nutrient solutions - peroxide kills beneficial microbes, so do not dose alongside bacterial or organic additives
• Handling: shake before use, wear gloves and eye protection, store cool and out of direct light
