Turns dead root matter into something the plant can use
Hesi PowerZyme is an enzyme product that breaks down dead root material and organic debris in the medium, converting cellulose into simple sugars that feed the plant and the beneficial microbes rather than the pathogens.
Key Benefits
- Clears dead root matter - a plant sheds roots constantly through a cycle
- Turns waste into food - broken-down cellulose feeds the biology instead of rotting
- Keeps a reused medium viable - the main reason a second run underperforms
- Reduces root disease pressure - decaying matter is what pathogens colonise first
- Works alongside beneficials - enzymes and microbes are complementary
A root zone that turns brown and sour late in flower
Root die-back accumulates through a cycle, and in a recirculating system or a reused medium it rots and becomes the food supply for exactly the organisms you do not want. It shows as weak roots and a sour smell in the last weeks.
How to Use
- Whole cycle: 2.5 ml per litre at every watering
- Reused medium: 5 ml per litre for the first two waterings of a second run
- Reservoir: keep it under 22°C - enzymes denature in a warm tank
- With beneficials: safe alongside bacterial and fungal products
- Media: soil, coco and hydroponics
