The Hot Box Sulfume is an electric sulphur evaporator that shields a grow room from fungal disease and certain pests without spraying plants directly. It gently evaporates pure sulphur rather than burning it, creating a fine sulphurous atmosphere that protects the whole space, covering up to 100m² of crop per unit.

Stopping mildew, Botrytis and spider mites before they spread
Fungal disease and mites establish fast in humid, still air and are far easier to head off than to cure once they have taken hold across a canopy. Running a sulphur evaporator as routine prevention keeps ambient sulphur high enough to stop spores and mites getting a foothold.
How to Use
- Fill the bowl with sulphur to the marked level.
- Suspend centrally, at least 1 metre below the ceiling for even distribution.
- Switch off intake and extraction fans while it runs.
- Run during the dark period on a timer, for about 2 hours a night.
- Frequency: two or three nights a week as prevention. During an outbreak, run it 2-4 hours every night with vents and doors closed until it clears.
- Ventilate and let the space clear before re-entering.

Questions & answers
How long and how often should I run it?
Hotbox recommend about 2 hours a night, two or three times a week, as prevention. With an infestation present, run it 2–4 hours a night with vents and doors closed until it clears.
How much sulphur goes in?
Half fill the cup to the marker inside. That's about 150g, which lasts over 150 hours as it vaporises under 1g an hour; overfilling stops it working properly.
What area does one unit cover?
Up to 100m² of crop, depending on the crop. Hang it at least 1m below the ceiling so the vapour spreads evenly.
Does it burn the sulphur?
No. The self-regulating element holds the sulphur between 119°C and 159°C, so it vaporises without burning or creating sulphur oxides.
Will it smell?
It gives off an egg-like smell while running, which clears once vents and doors are opened. Always use sulphur in line with its label and national regulations.
