Kaya Coir Loose Fill Grow Pots are open-top grow bags filled with 100% RHP-certified coco coir, washed several times to remove salts and buffered before packing. The coir arrives loose rather than compressed, so there is no block to soak, break up or rinse: fold back the top, plant and water in. Each bag doubles as the pot, which makes them a quick way to set up a run of plants in a grow tent or greenhouse.

Overwatering and Salt Build-Up in Coco
Most coco problems trace back to the medium itself: unwashed coir that leaches sodium and potassium into the root zone, or fine, compacted coir that stays wet and leaves roots short of oxygen. Kaya's washed, buffered coir starts with a very low EC and a loose, open structure, so feed goes where it should, root development stays vigorous and the risk of waterlogging falls. It handles hand watering and automated drip irrigation equally well, for vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruiting crops.
How to Use
- Set out: fold back the top of each bag and stand it in a tray
- Plant: set rooted cuttings, seedlings or rooting cubes straight into the coir
- Water in: water slowly until the coir is evenly moist and a little drains from the base
- Feed: use a coco-specific nutrient from the first feed, adding Cal-Mag on soft or RO water
- Size up: the 1 gallon suits young or small plants; 2 and 3 gallon give larger plants room to finish

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to rinse or buffer the coir?
No. Kaya wash it several times to remove salts and buffer it before it is bagged, so the EC is very low and the pH sits at 6.0–6.5. Plant and water in.
Is this the same as Kaya Coco Lite?
No. These bags are 100% coco coir. Kaya also make a 70/30 coco and perlite loose fill for growers who want extra drainage, sold as a separate product.
Which size should I choose?
Match the bag to the size the plant will reach: 1 gallon for seedlings, cuttings and compact plants, 2 or 3 gallon for larger plants that stay in the bag to the end of the crop.
