The LumenLite 600W 400V DE MH Bulb is a double ended metal halide lamp at 5000K, built in quartz glass for 600W double ended fixtures running on a 400V ballast. Its gas mix is tuned for more blue, red and UV than a standard metal halide, giving a full spectrum that suits every stage of growth: compact, bushy vegetative growth under the blue end, with enough red to carry plants on through flowering and fruiting. The double ended design holds its output well over its life, with less PAR and lumen loss than a typical single ended lamp.

Stretching Under the Wrong Light

Plants in vegetative growth under a red-heavy HPS lamp tend to stretch, putting on long gaps between nodes and weak stems. A metal halide's blue-rich light keeps growth tight and sturdy, and a full-spectrum DE lamp lets you keep one lamp in the fixture through the whole cycle or run it alongside HPS for a broader spectrum.

How to Use

• Use only in a 600W, 400V double ended fixture or reflector with a matching 400V ballast.
• Handle the quartz tube by its ends or with clean gloves; skin oil on the glass shortens lamp life.
• Clip the lamp into both DE lamp holders so it sits level, then close the reflector.
• Hang to your fixture maker's recommended height and adjust by checking leaf temperature at the canopy.
• Let the lamp cool fully before switching off at the wall to replace or move it.
