The LUMii Contactor Timer is a heavy-duty 26 amp relay unit that lets one Grässlin segment timer switch several HID grow lights together. The timer only tells the contactor when to switch; the contactor carries the load and the start-up surge from the ballasts, so the timer contacts are never asked to. Every unit is designed, assembled and quality checked in the UK, with a protective cover on each socket.

Why Grow Lights Need a Contactor

A 600 W or 1000 W ballast pulls a heavy surge every time it strikes. Run several from a standard plug-in timer and the contacts pit and weld, leaving lights stuck on or off partway through a cycle. A contactor takes that strain, keeps the photoperiod reliable and protects steady vegetative growth and flowering from missed or doubled light periods.

How to Use

• Power: plug the two 13 A plugs into separate wall sockets on a circuit rated for the full load.
• Set the timer: push down the segments for the hours your lights should be on.
• Load: plug in your ballasts, spreading them evenly so neither side exceeds 13 A.
• Mount: fix the unit off the floor with the brackets, clear of water and irrigation lines.
