Description
A Complete, Quiet Extraction Setup In One Box
The Mammoth Extraction Kit pairs a Vortex acoustic box fan with a matched Mammoth Carbon Filter, 5 metres of combi ducting and duct clips, giving you everything needed to pull hot, stale, odorous air out of a grow room or tent in one purchase. The box fan's motor sits inside MDF wooden panelling that muffles running noise, while the carbon filter's own insulating sleeve further quietens air passing through — a genuinely discreet way to run serious airflow.
What's Included
- Vortex Acoustic Box Fan, sized to match the kit's rated airflow
- Mammoth Carbon Filter with a 50mm RC48 activated carbon bed
- 5m Combi Ducting
- Duct Clips for a secure, sealed connection
Key Benefits
- Box fan and filter airflow matched at the point of sale, so there's no guesswork over sizing
- MDF-panelled fan housing dampens motor noise for quieter running
- 50mm RC48 carbon bed in the filter strips odours and VOCs before air leaves the space
- Combi ducting included, flexible and durable enough for long-term use
- One purchase covers fan, filter and ducting, so there's less to source separately
Keep Temperature, Humidity And Odour Under Control
Stagnant air in a grow space lets heat, humidity and smells build up together, and all three slow growth and encourage mould. Running a correctly sized fan and filter as a pair keeps air moving in one direction and odour-free, which is where kits like this outperform a fan and filter bought separately and mismatched.
How to Use
- Assemble on the floor first: carbon filter, duct clip, short length of ducting, fan, duct clip, remaining ducting
- Check the airflow arrow on the fan points away from the filter before connecting
- Hang the assembled unit using rope ratchets or chain rather than the ducting alone
- Run continuously for the most consistent odour control and temperature regulation

Frequently Asked Questions
Which kit size do I need for my grow room?
Multiply the room's length, width and height in metres to get its volume, then multiply that by 60 for the airflow in m³/h that changes all the air once a minute. Pick a kit comfortably above that figure, because the carbon filter, duct bends and the heat from your lighting all take a share of any fan's rated airflow.
How quiet is the Vortex box fan?
The motor runs inside an MDF-panelled acoustic box that soaks up much of the running noise, and the Mammoth filter's insulating sleeve quietens the intake side too. Together they make one of the quieter ways to move this much air, although no fan at these airflows is completely silent.
How long does the Mammoth carbon filter last?
Mammoth rate the 50mm RC48 carbon bed for up to around two years of use; very humid rooms and round-the-clock running shorten that. When odour starts to pass the filter, fit a replacement Mammoth Carbon Filter of the same diameter.
