Judging light coverage by eye is unreliable - intensity falls off faster than it looks toward the edges of a canopy, and a fixture set at the wrong height can leave whole sections under- or over-lit. A proper PAR meter takes the guesswork out of light placement, letting growers confirm even coverage and adjust fixture height with real data rather than assumption.
How to Use
Extend the telescopic wand to the canopy height being measured, hold the sensor head level and take readings at several points across the growing area - centre, edges and corners - to check for even coverage. Re-check after adjusting fixture height or adding extra lighting.
