Description
One plant, one tray, fed by gravity around the clock
The MegaPot Single Module is a complete one-plant gravity-fed hydroponic system built around a fabric pot. A float valve sits in its own housing at the front of the tray and holds a shallow level of nutrient solution under the pot, opening to top it up from your reservoir as the plant drinks and closing again when the level is restored. There is no pump, no timer and no power involved, and because the valve only lets in what the plant has used, the root zone never sits waterlogged and never dries out between visits – the two things that do most damage to root development and nutrient uptake when plants are watered by hand.
Each module runs from one feed line, so you can use a single MegaPot in a small tent or link as many as your grow room takes, all supplied from the same tank. Choose the 16, 22, 39 or 56 litre module to match the size of plant and the length of your grow: the smaller pots suit shorter cycles and tight spaces, the larger ones give long-season plants room for a big, healthy root system.
What's Included
- MegaPot Single Tray – sized to the pot you choose
- SmartGro Cloth Pot – breathable fabric pot in the module's size
- MegaPot Float Valve – with the oversized inlet
- Hosetail – for the 16 mm feed line
- MegaPot Valve Cover – sized to the tray
- 16 mm Triple Barb Tee – to branch the feed on to the next module
Key Benefits
- No pumps, timers or power – the float valve refills the tray from a raised reservoir as the plant uses it
- Oversized 10 mm inlet – MegaPot put the inlet at twice the size of the nearest competing system, so it is far less prone to blocking
- Raised, channelled base – lifts the pot 10 mm off the tray floor, and the channels grip an air curtain or air ring for extra root-zone oxygen
- Made for fabric pots – a larger feeding tray than most rivals, with tapered side walls designed to support root pruning
- Round pot seat – turn the plant in the tray for even light on every side
- Modular – run one module or a whole room of them from a single tank
How to Use
- Set the reservoir higher than the trays so solution runs down to every module by gravity.
- Run 16 mm feed pipe from the tank to the hosetail on the valve, and use the triple barb tee to branch on to further modules.
- Add a 10 mm layer of pebbles to the base of the fabric pot before filling – MegaPot suggest about 1 L for the 16L, 2 L for the 22L, 3 L for the 39L and 4 L for the 56L. It improves drainage and oxygen at the root zone.
- Fill with coco or a free-draining mix, plant, and water the pot through from the top so the medium starts evenly moist; from then on the valve keeps the tray topped up.
- Fit the valve cover over the valve housing, and between crops check the float moves freely and the inlet is clear.
- For extra oxygen, lay an air curtain or air ring in the base channels and run it from an air pump.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a pump or a timer?
No. The module is fed by gravity from a reservoir set higher than the tray, and the float valve opens and closes on its own to hold the level. The only thing you might add is an air pump, if you fit an air curtain or air ring for extra oxygen.
Which growing media can I use?
MegaPot is designed around fabric pots and suits coco and free-draining soil-based mixes. Put a 10 mm layer of pebbles in the base of the pot first to help drainage and oxygen at the roots.
Can I run several modules from one tank?
Yes. Each module has its own float valve, so you simply run 16 mm pipe from the tank and use the triple barb tee supplied with each module to branch the feed on to the next.
Which size should I choose?
The 16L and 22L modules suit shorter grows, smaller plants and compact tents. The 39L and 56L give big, long-season plants far more root room and a larger buffer of moisture between top-ups.
Is a reservoir included?
No – a module is the tray, fabric pot, valve and fittings. Pair it with a tank and 16 mm feed pipe; one tank can feed every module in the room.
