Microbe Life Photosynthesis Plus is a liquid microbial supplement from Microbe Life Hydroponics, made by Ecological Laboratories in Florida. Its culture consortium is built around photosynthetic bacteria — Rhodopseudomonas palustris and Rhodospirillum rubrum — and the label also lists ecto- and endomycorrhizal fungi. It works at the leaf as a foliar spray and in the root zone through the feed, in soil, coco and every hydroponic system, alongside any nutrient programme.

How to Use
- Shake well and add to the reservoir or watering can after the base nutrients.
- Seedlings and cuttings: 15 ml per litre.
- Vegetative growth and flowering week 1: 3 ml per litre.
- Flowering week 2 onwards: 1.5 ml per litre; leave it out for the final three weeks of flowering.
- Foliar alternative: 10 ml per litre as a leaf spray in vegetative growth and in flowering weeks 2 and 4, with the root rates in between.
- Water: use dechlorinated or reverse osmosis water — chlorine harms live bacteria. Microbe Life gives an ideal range of pH 6–9.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use it with tap water?
Only once the chlorine is out. Microbe Life asks for dechlorinated or reverse osmosis water whenever live bacteria go into the tank, so let tap water stand or treat it with a dechlorinator first.
Does it replace my base nutrient?
No. Its analysis is only 0-0.5-0.09; it is a biological supplement made to run alongside any base feed in soil, coco or hydro.
Can I spray it on the leaves?
Yes. The maker's foliar rate is 10 ml per litre, used in vegetative growth and in flowering weeks 2 and 4, with the normal root-feed rates in the other weeks.
When should I stop using it?
Microbe Life's chart runs it from seedlings and cuttings right through flowering at 1.5 ml per litre, and leaves it out for the final three weeks of flowering.
