The Milwaukee EC40 Nutrient Truncheon is a dip-and-read EC/TDS meter for hydroponic, coco and soil growers who want a quick, dependable check on feed strength. Drop the head into the nutrient solution and a 20-LED blue bar lights against printed CF, EC, PPM500 and PPM700 scales, so whichever feed chart you follow you can read it directly with no conversions. It arrives factory calibrated, with automatic temperature compensation and a sealed IP67 floating body.

Guessing at Feed Strength?
Tap water hardness, evaporation and uptake all shift the EC of a tank. A feed that drifts too strong brings nutrient burn and lockout; one that runs weak shows as pale leaves and slow growth. A quick reading at every mix or top-up keeps you on your feed chart.
How to Use
- Read: twist off the protective cap, dip the head into the solution and wait for the LED to settle - the meter switches on and off by itself.
- Interpret: two lit LEDs mean the value sits between them.
- Alarm: hold the SETUP button to raise the LED bar to your limit, then release to save.
- Clean: rinse the probe in tap or distilled water after every use to stop nutrient building up on the graphite sensors.
