The NEWA Jet is a multi-use submersible pump made in Italy, built to run either sitting in the reservoir or outside it as an inline pump, with the fittings for external use supplied. The smaller NJ1200 has adjustable flow for fine-tuning a line, while the larger NJ4500, NJ6000 and NJ8000 use electronic motor control that monitors working conditions and cuts power draw by up to 20% against comparable pumps. Every model has a protected motor that will not overheat, so it suits continuous duty in nutrient solution.

Weak Flow at the End of the Line
A pump picked on headline flow alone often disappoints once head height and pipe runs are added: flood tables fill slowly, drippers barely run and plants at the far end get less feed, which shows up as uneven growth and poor nutrient uptake. Size on flow and maximum head together - the NJ8000 still lifts to 4.5m - so there is pressure left at the last outlet.
How to Use
- Choose the size on flow and head height - output falls as head rises, so allow some headroom
- Submerged: stand it on its suction feet on a flat base, clear of sediment
- External: fit the supplied accessories and keep the pump below the water level so it stays primed
- Set the flow on the NJ1200 to suit the system rather than fitting a bypass
- Clean the inlet guard and rotor regularly, and never run the pump dry
