Quiet, Adjustable Aeration for Any Reservoir
A diaphragm air pump built for growers who want oxygen in the tank without a droning noise in the room. Air is drawn in through the base, pushed out by an oscillating diaphragm and passed through a multi-stage muffler on the way out. Output is adjustable from 40 to 380 litres per hour using the dials on the front, and the range runs from single outlet up to two outlets, enough to aerate two reservoirs of up to 190 litres each. Suits deep water culture, standard reservoirs and Aquafarm or Waterfarm systems.
Key Benefits
- Adjustable output - dial the flow anywhere from 40 to 380 litres per hour to match the tank rather than over-driving a small one.
- Genuinely quiet - a multi-level muffler on the outlet path keeps running noise down in a tent or a spare room.
- Low vibration - moulded rubber feet absorb the diaphragm buzz that normally transmits into the floor or shelf.
- One or two outlets - run a single air stone or split the duty across two separate reservoirs.
- Low power draw - designed to run continuously without adding much to the electricity bill.
- Versatile - works with air stones, DWC buckets and Aquafarm or Waterfarm modules alike.
Why Stagnant Water Starves Roots
Roots need dissolved oxygen as much as they need feed. Still nutrient sits and warms, oxygen levels fall, and the anaerobic organisms that cause brown, slimy roots take hold. A steady stream of fine bubbles keeps the solution turning over, holds oxygen levels up and pushes nutrient past the root mass instead of letting it settle. In a warm room it is often the single change that keeps a reservoir healthy from one feed to the next.
How to Use
- Site the pump above the water line, or fit a non-return valve, so solution cannot siphon back.
- Connect airline to the outlet and run it to an air stone in the reservoir.
- Start with the dial low and raise it until you see steady, even bubbling.
- Run the pump continuously rather than on a timer.
- Rinse or replace the air stone when the bubble stream weakens.
