A CO2 sensor built to run on the Dimlux Maxi Controller ecosystem
This OptiClimate CO2 Sensor is an accessory sensor for growers running a Dimlux Maxi Controller, supplied with a 10 metre cable so it can be mounted well away from the controller itself - useful in larger rooms or where the controller sits outside the grow space. It reads CO2 concentration at canopy height and feeds that reading back to the controller, which is what allows CO2 enrichment to be dosed to an actual target ppm rather than run on a timer and hoped for.
In a sealed or closed-loop room, CO2 is one of the more significant levers on yield once temperature, humidity and light are already dialled in, but only if the room is genuinely holding the concentration a grower thinks it is. Dosing without a working sensor either wastes gas once the room is already saturated or leaves plants starved of CO2 when extraction or leakage pulls levels back down - and neither shows up as an obvious problem day to day, just a slow drag on growth. Running a sensor into the controller closes that loop, triggering a connected CO2 regulator or generator only when the room actually needs topping up, and cutting dosing automatically once the target is reached.
