Seven Litres of Stable Coco From One Dry Brick
Cocos Brix is dehydrated, compressed coco for growers who want a pure, natural substrate without hauling wet bags about. Each brick is buffered with calcium then flushed with clean water, giving a very stable substrate that contains no fertilisers, so you control the feed from the first watering. It is RHP certified, holds a stable pH and has a high water retention capacity, so you water less often with less false drain. Add 4 litres of water to one brick for about 7 litres of ready-to-use coco.
Key Benefits
- Just add water - 4 litres per brick makes 7 litres of substrate.
- Calcium buffered - flushed clean, carrying no fertiliser of its own.
- Stable pH - 6.1 to 7.4, with a low starting EC of 0.09 to 0.14 mS/cm.
- High water retention - water less often and cut false drain.
- RHP certified - meets the most stringent quality standards.
- Stores dry and reusable - spent coco works on as a soil improver.
Are You Overwatering Because Your Coco Drains Too Fast?
Loose, unbuffered coco runs straight through, so growers feed more often, push more to waste and still see weak roots and poor nutrient uptake from a root zone swinging wet to dry. A buffered, high-retention substrate holds solution at the roots for longer, keeping growth steady.
How to Use
- Rehydrating: immerse 1 Cocos Brix in 4 litres (1.05 gal) of water, squeezing the brick regularly.
- Timing: after 20 to 30 minutes you have about 7 litres (1.85 gal) of coco.
- Feeding: add nutrients every time you water and set pH to 5.5.
- Best pairing: highest yields come from Plagron Cocos A&B and additives.
- Mixing with soil: blend into Plagron soil to improve structure.
- Reuse: good for at least six months depending on tap water quality - replace it after a poor harvest, as unabsorbed nutrition remains.
